Well Its been a week of crazy following the Fraser Valleys largest wedding fair.  This year was a great showing by all vendors.  The booths looked great and there were some amazing people to meet and see again.  It was great getting to chat with all the newly engaged (and some long-term engagement ) ladies.  I love listening to all the crazy awesome proposals and big day plans.  It was a pleasure to meet so many soon to be brides and had an amazing weekend witnessing an actual wedding! I got my fashion fix at the fashion show with some stunning dresses by Ivory Bridal from their new store in Fort Langley.  And saw some beautifully decorated tables from my neighbour booth Angel Kisses decor

Its better late then never as I couldn’t let this wedding not be seen!  I don’t think I could have asked for a greater wedding with a more beautiful couple to finish off the year.  This wedding had elegance all over it.  With the white on white colour scheme and great venues I was a beautiful day start to finish.  We stuck around the Milner area of Langley which is where the ceremony took place.  I absolutely loved every thing about this wedding, thank you it was my pleasure enjoy!

This wedding was amazing, the b&g are amazing the details were off the charts and the venue was to die for.  Personal details are one of my favorite things to see at weddings and are often overlooked with the craziness of planning weddings and decor, but not here.

Perks of my Job | ABBOTSFORD PHOTOGRAPHER

When these two dear friends asked me to be their photographer I jumped at the opportunity.  Not only was I able to capture these two gorgeous friends but was also the one and ONLY friend who got to witness them say I DO.  And for that I am grateful for what I do.  They were married among family with an intimate setting they insisted on a couple of pictures and I insisted on a few more and am happy they obliged.  I am so happy for these two and am so happy to have been there to witness such great people join there live together.

I am so excited to kick off my wedding season this year with this couple!  They are seriously so so so gorgeous and sweet.  We met up at Crecent beach where they first met to do their engagement shoot.  We were planning rain or shine and boy did it shine.  On the hottest day of the year so far it was perfect for a beach photo shoot.

Couples like this is truly the reason why I love my job!  These two were an absolute pleaser to work with and I really had a great time celebrating their big day with them.  As I arrived at the venue that day my heart sank not for me and my plan of locations to shoot, but for this bride.  She so desperately wanted the rain to stay away and there was no such luck.  It was a down pour, but when I walked  in to see the alternative ceremony site I was not disappointed.  The location was redwoods  in North Langley and it was BEAUTIFUL!!  Not to mention the sound of the rain fall even added to the amazing setting. 

 I knew then that today was going to be an amazing wedding.  I have TONs of outdoor place in mind in case of rain and was kinda excited to use some finally.   But not long after I had started my day getting some great shots of the girls and guys getting ready the clouds separated and the sun even made its way out.  Talk about timing!Seriously they are so into each other  they even high-fived after their vows, and hugged while they were listening to the pastor.

Jenn and Dan are amazing athletes and avid runners.  I know I call anyone who runs for more than 10 min at a time an athlete and some one who runs more than a mile a week avid but these too are the real deal. Dan has finished iron man races and jen practices along beside him.  So when it came to deciding where to do pictures we decided to hold them on one of their regular running routes.  I heart Langley.

These two sure know how to make an entrance.  They surprised everyone with this fun twist!

So I have a beautiful wedding to share today.  This bride was off the charts BEEEautiFUL!  The weather was hit and miss and we were dodging the rain all day, but we managed to avoid it the WHOLE day. 

 The ceremony took place at Pitt Meadows Golf Course after some last-minute decisions they decided to stick with their original plan and hold the ceremony out in the garden. Good choice as the rain held and the backdrop was perfect! you couldn’t ask for a better ceremony.

  We headed to one of my favorite places in Langley to do some group shots.  I know no bride wants to hear that its raining on their wedding day but for a photographer the beautiful skin tones the sky brings is amazing. 

After pictures we headed back to the golf course for a wonderful dinner and some truly heart-felt speeches ( insert tear here).  Next some fun games  to kick off the rest of the reception.
